Ingredients

Oats

  • 1/2 cup oats quick oats are best
  • 1/2 cup milk any type you wish
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon ground

Yoghurt

  • 4 tbsp yoghurt any type you wish

Caramelized Apples

  • 1 apple any type you wish
  • 1 tbsp butter or dairy free option
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon ground
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  • Gather all the ingredients and wash out the jars or other suitable containers. Place the oat ingredients into the jars and mix with a spoon to combine. You can add some sweetener now if you wish. Top the jars with lids and place into the fridge overnight.
  • In the morning take the oats out of the fridge and give it another stir to combine all the ingredients again. If it is too thick feel free to add some more milk.
Top with your favourite yoghurt. I make my own which costs far less than the store bought and it also means I am in control of how thick my yoghurt is.
  • To make the caramelized apples, leave the skin on the apple and chop into bite-size pieces. Place into a small frying pan along with butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.
Cook apples on medium heat until thoroughly hot and saucy.
Place it on top of the yoghurt. Spoon any sauce that is with the apples. If you want more sauce to go over the yoghurt, feel free to double the butter and sugar ratio.

Notes

You can top your oats with so many flavour combinations and I plan on showing you some more of our family favourites soon.
If you would like a heartier serving you can double all the ingredients.
Also, if you like you can microwave the jar with just the oats to heat it through before adding the yoghurt and toppings.
