To Make 1 Cup of Beef Gravy

  • Add 2 Tbsp (approximately 20g) Beef Gravy Mix and 1 cup cold water to a saucepan.
  • Whisk together until smooth.
  • Place over medium heat and cook, stirring regularly, until the gravy comes to a gentle simmer and thickens.

  • The equivalent amount of the packet gravy used for comparison costs approximately $12.64, giving an estimated saving of $8.07 or around 64%.
  • Ingredient prices vary, so treat these figures as a guide.
  • Store the dry mix in an airtight container away from heat and moisture.
  • Add onions, mushrooms, herbs, Worcestershire sauce or meat juices when preparing the gravy if you'd like to change the flavour.
