A handy homemade gravy mix made from simple pantry ingredients. Budget-friendly, easy to store, and perfect for quick chicken gravy whenever you need it.
Add all ingredients to a bowl and whisk together until well combined. Transfer the mixture into an airtight jar or container. Store in a cool, dry pantry for several months. I make up a triple batch, so I have more stocked up in my pantry.
How to make the gravy
Add 1 cup of cold water to a saucepan.
Add 2–3 tablespoons of the dry gravy mix (use 2 Tbsp for a thinner gravy, 3 Tbsp for thicker gravy).
Whisk until smooth.
Heat over medium–high, whisking consistently, until thickened and glossy.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Stacey's Kitchen Tips
Whisk from cold: Always start with cold water — it prevents lumps.
Flavour boost: Add a splash of cream or a tiny knob of butter just before serving for richness.
Make it ahead: Keep a double batch in your pantry for winter meals.
Use as seasoning: Sprinkle a teaspoon into casseroles or slow cooker meals for extra chicken flavour.
Variations
Herby Gravy Mix: Add dried parsley or rosemary.
Garlic Lovers Mix: Increase garlic powder to 2 tsp.
Golden Roast Style: Add a pinch of turmeric for colour.
Low-Salt Version: Halve the stock powder and increase the flour slightly.
