Brown the sausage. Use a meat chopper or masher to break up all the sausage until it is fine and crumbly. Add the onions and brown with the meat.
Add the mixed herbs, onion powder and garlic powder.
Empty the contents of your boxed mac and cheese into the saucepan. Add the milk and water, including the cheese mix packet. Stir until combined and simmer on a medium heat for half the time recommended on your boxed mac and cheese packet.
About halfway through cooking, and while there is still some liquid, crack the eggs onto the top of the dish.
Add some baked beans over the top of the dish (optional)
Add the cheese to the top and salt and pepper to taste.
Cover the dish with either a pot lid or a piece of tin foil. Turn the heat down to the lowest setting. Alternatively, turn it off and let the residual heat cook the eggs through. The rest of the liquid should now be fully absorbed.
Garnish with fresh parsley.
