Place the frozen beans in a pot of salted hot water. Remove the beans once the water starts to boil. Drain and rinse under cold water. If you are using fresh beans snap the flower end of the bean, wash, and prepare the same way as the frozen beans.
If you are making this dish for a special occasion, prep it beforehand, place the cold cooked beans in a bag, and store it in the fridge until you need them.
Cook the 3 rashers of bacon until crispy. Heat the beans in a frying pan, add the garlic and herb butter, and toss through the beans and bacon.
