Air Fryer Chicken Gravy Dunker

Ingredients

  • 1 bakery-style bread roll (sub roll or soft white roll)
  • 1 cup shredded rotisserie chicken
  • ½–¾ cup grated cheese (Tasty or Colby)
  • 2–3 tablespoons slow cooker caramelized onions
  • 1 spring onion, finely diced
  • Chicken gravy, for dipping Homemade Chicken Gravy Mix | Pantry Staple Gravy Powder

Method

  1. Prepare the roll:
    Slice the bread roll lengthways, but not all the way through. Open it up like a book and lay it flat.
  2. Add caramelized onions & cheese:
    Spread the caramelized onions over the inside of the roll. Top with grated cheese — this helps everything melt together beautifully.
  3. Add the chicken:
    Scatter the shredded rotisserie chicken over the cheese.
  4. Air fry:
    Place the open roll into the air fryer basket. Air fry at 180°C for 3-4 minutes. Cook until the cheese is melted. Make sure the roll is golden and the chicken is heated through.
  5. Top it off:
    Remove from the air fryer and sprinkle over the diced spring onions.
  6. Serve with gravy:
    Dish up with a bowl of hot chicken gravy on the side. This is your dunking station! It’s the star of the show.
