Ham and Cheese Bagel Freezer Breakfast Sandwiches
Having a few homemade breakfasts waiting in the freezer can make busy mornings so much easier. These ham and cheese bagels are simple and filling. They are perfect for grabbing when you need something quick before heading out the door.
They’re made with everyday ingredients you can find in any supermarket — bagels, ham, cheese, and a quick mustard mayo spread that brings everything together. Once assembled, they freeze beautifully and reheat well in the air fryer or microwave.
Making a batch like this means breakfast is already sorted for the week ahead. This can be a real help on busy mornings.

What to Serve with This Recipe
These are designed as quick breakfasts, but you can serve them with:
• Fresh fruit
• Yoghurt
• A smoothie
• A hot coffee or tea
Stacey’s Kitchen Tips
• Shredded Swiss cheese works really well in these because it melts evenly through the bagel.
• If you’re making a large batch, I suggest setting up a small assembly line on the bench. This way, you can build them all at once.
• Wrapping the sandwiches in baking paper first helps prevent freezer burn and keeps everything neat when reheating.
Variations & Substitutions
You can easily adjust these depending on what you have on hand.
• Swap ham for cooked bacon or leftover roast chicken
• Use cheddar, tasty, or Colby cheese instead of Swiss
• Add spinach or tomato if eating fresh rather than freezing
Freezer Breakfast Sandwich Tips
Making breakfast sandwiches for the freezer is one of the easiest ways to stay organized during busy weeks. A little prep ahead of time means you always have a hot breakfast ready to go.
A few simple things make a big difference when freezing sandwiches:
• Let cooked ingredients cool completely before assembling. This helps prevent moisture and ice forming in the freezer.
• Wrap each sandwich in baking paper first, then place them in a freezer-safe bag or container.
• Label the bag with the date so you know when they were made.
• These sandwiches are best used within about one month.
Cooking times may vary slightly depending on your air fryer or microwave, so adjust if needed.
