Incredible Apple Pie Spring Rolls
These delicious little crispy morsels, will become a favourite in your family. Served with homemade Super Easy Salted Caramel Sauce. They are definitely a “Shut the Front Gate” Recipe!
I came up with these lovely little spring rolls after I had left-over apple pie filling mix. I had used in making my Apple Pie Turnovers and there was enough to come up with this recipe.
I always like to have spring roll wrappers in my freezer. This is the kind I used Spring Rolls Wrappers. They are so handy to have in the freezer to make all kinds of yummy dishes.
The Secret Recipe
I made up a big batch of apple pie filling to make some apple turnovers. Husband had gone fishing and had brought back some lovely fresh snapper. I decided to make fish pie. I had a few cans of apples left in my pantry that I am wanting to use up. I thought the turnovers would go great as a dessert. Of course if you have loads of apple pie filling in the freezer or home canned. Simply just use your own mix. Just make sure the mixture isn’t too moist, or the spring rolls wont hold together well.
How to Roll the Wrappers
Take the sheets out of the packet and place a damp towel over them to stop them from drying out. Using one wrapper at a time, take the sheet and place it in a diamond position. Take around 2 Tablespoons of the mixture and place it in the bottom middle corner. You can watch how I roll them in this video. After rolling the wrapper to half way. Moisten the remaining edges with water so that the wrapper sticks to itself.
Set the wrappers aside, covered in the fridge.
The Salted Caramel Sauce

What is even better is that the whole recipe comes together very quickly. You can even make ahead of time which is even better!
Incredible Apple Pie Spring Rolls
Equipment
- Deep Fryer or a Frying pan
Ingredients
- apple pie filling Use your own bottled or follow my recipe linked in the post
- 1 packet frozen spring roll pastry (I used the little chef brand from a local Asian grocer)
- oil for deep frying use your choice of oil
Instructions
- Grab the spring roll sheets and transfer 2 tbsp of the apple pie filling in the centre of each sheet. Fold (refer to my video for method). Make up as many rolls as you like depending on how much apple pie filling you have available to use.
- Heat a few inches of oil, making sure that the spring rolls are covered. Fry the spring rolls until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain off excess oil. Serve with a salted caramel sauce.
- They are best served straight away. But watch out as the centre will be hot.
